Max Tassan is currently based in East Africa and actively involved in its underground scenes. She advocates for the circulation of music across continents, particularly playing tracks from Central Asia where she learned djing.
This set is an ode to eastern African experimental and techno music, including hints of afro house, gqom and singeli. The tracks are mainly from Uganda and Kenya where the scene is most present.
This is a sonic return gift to the region that shaped her creative journey
